Asamoah completes loan move to Chester

Imps "striker", Derek Asamoah has been loaned to Chester City following a lack of first team action at Sincil Bank. Asamoah has recently paid for his poor performances that have plagued his time at City and he has been loaned to Keith Curle's team with a view to a permanent move in the summer.

Asamoah joined the Imps from Mansfield Town in 2005 and you could count his decent performances with one hand and still be wasting 3 fingers. Asamoah was a first team regular but his record of just 2 goals in over 40 matches for the Imps just wasn't acceptable and was dropped after his shockingly bad performance against Boston.

Asamoah also apparantly "spat his dummy out" recently when he was a substitute at Mansfield but interim manager, John Schofield brought Leon Mettam, a youth team player with no previous appearances instead of Asamoah.

I'll be honest, I couldn't care less if Asamoah doesn't play for us again because quite frankly, virtually every single player is better than he is and the fact that Keith kept him in the squad for so long, is the reason we aren't in the playoffs at the minute because without his selfishness on the ball, we'd have scored far more goals than we have.
