Yet another target appears gone

If Keith Alexander is to sign Anthony Elding, a striker he has been heavily linked with, he only has a few days left. 6 non-league clubs have made attempts to sign the Stevenage striker, who was heavily linked with a move to the Imps earlier this season and surely this is the Imps' best chance.

Burton, Cambridge, Scarborough, Southport, Kettering and Accrington have all made an offer for the former Boston striker but Elding is believed to be holding out for a move back into the football league. City were heavily linked with the striker earlier in the season and rumours coming out of Sincil Bank indicate that Keith Alexander is prepared to make a bid for the striker and without trying to sound disrespectful to the other clubs who have made bids, Elding would more than likely choose a move into the football league.

Elding fell out with Stevenage manager, Graham Westley earlier in the season and it was rumoured back then, that City had made a 5 figured bid for the striker and now, with Westley telling Elding that he won't play for them again, the Imps could move in again to sign one of the best strikers in the non-league.
