Because of the amount of M's, L gets it's own section despite a relatively small amount of Lincoln City players. Included in the L's are a man with a pineapple for a head, 2 men with the same name, a cult hero who made little over 100 appearances and of course, 1 season wonders.

Lancaster, Roy – Between 1964 and 1966, he made 5 appearances for the club and also played for Rotherham and Grimsby

 

Larkin, Bunny – Seriously, there was a player called Bunny and he played 27 times for the Imps between 1964 and 1966. He also played for Birmingham, Norwich, Donny and Watford.

 

Latchford Bob – Made 15 appearances in the 1985/6 season. He also played for Birmingham, Everton, Swansea, Coventry and Newport.

 

Lawton, Nobby – The former Manchester United start made 21 appearances for City between 1970 and 1972.

 

Laybourne, Keith – Made 20 appearances between 1977 and 1979.

 

Leaning, Andy – Made 51 appearances for the Imps in 3 years between 1993 and 1996. He also played for York, Sheffield United, Bristol City and Chesterfield.

 

Lee, Jason – A man with the pineapple head played 98 times for the Imps between 1990 and 1993. He also played for Charlton, Southend, Forest, Watford, Peterborough, Boston and Northampton.

 

Leigh, Dennis – In his 7 years at Sincil Bank between 1972 and 1979, he made 244 appearances for the Imps, he also played for Doncaster and Rotherham.

 

Lescott, Aaron – He played 5 times for City in the 1999/2000 season and also had spells at Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday.

 

Lester, Benny – The former Hull and Stockport man made 37 appearances for City between 1947 and 1949.

 

Lewis, Graham – A back up player between 1999 and 2001, he only played 8 games in that time.


Lewis, Jack – The former Grimsby, Blackburn and Doncaster man spent 4 years at City between 1966 and 1970 and played 51 times during that time.

 

Liburd, Richard – Not the most passionate player you’ll ever see and he played 24 rather unimpressive times during the 2003/4 season. He also played for Middlesbrough, Bradford, Carlisle, Notts County and Eastwood TOWN.

 

Linnecor, Bert – In an 8 year stretch between 1956 and 1964, he played 287 tmes.

 

Littler, Fred – He made just 7 appearances for the Imps in the 1954/5 season and he also palyed for Leicester, Wrexham and Crewe.

 

Logan, Richard – A defender who joined the Imps 2000 from Scunthorpe, injury plagued his time at Sincil Bank and he made just 19 appearances before leaving in 2003.

 

Logan, Richard – A loanee striker who joined from Peterborough in the 2005/6 season. Although he scored 2 goals, his impact was minimal and he played 8 times before returning to Peterborough.

 

Long, Ray – 1 appearance wonder in 1959/60.

 

Lord, Walter – 1 appearance wonder from 1957/8.

 

Lormer, Tony – Another popular player who joined the Imps in 1989 and despite only playing 101 times before leaving in 1994, he was the fan’s favourite player. He also played for Newcastle, Peterborough, Chesterfield, Preston and Mansfield.

 

Loughlan, Tony – Played 17 games in the 1993/4 season.

 

Lowery, Jerry – The goalkeeper played 56 games for City between 1952 and 1954. He also played for Newcastle, Barrow and Crewe.

 

Loxley, Bert – The former Notts County man made just 8 appearances in the 1966/7 season.

 

Loxley, Tony – 1 appearance wonder in the 1978/9 season.

 

Lucas, Richard – A loanee who made 6 appearances in the 1994/5 season. He also played for Sheffield United, Preston, Scarborough and Hartlepool.

 

Lund, Gar y –A journey man of the Midlands played 49 times for City in the 1986/7 season. He also played for Grimsby, Notts County, Hull and Chester.
