Measham, Ian – A loanee in the 1985/6 season and he made just 6 appearances for City. He also played for Huddersfield, Cambridge, Burnley and Doncaster.

 

Meath, Trevor – The former Walsall man joined City in 1969 and made 48 appearances for City before leaving in 1972.

 

Megson, Gary – A true journeyman who made 4 appearances for City in the 1995/6 season. In his career, he played twice for Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth, Everton, Newcastle, Manchester City, Norwich, Shrewsbury and then he became the manager of West Brom and then Nottingham Forest.

 

Middlemass, Ernie – Made 2 unremarkable appearances for the Imps in the 1949/50 season.

 

Mike, Adie – A former Premiership player, Adie Mike, joined City in the 2002/3 season and for a time, out scored Simon Yeo and the journeyman showed on occasions why he was once rated as the most exciting prospect in Bristish football. He also played for Manchester City, Bury, Stockport, Hartlepool, Doncaster Rovers and Northwich Victoria.

 

Miller, Paul – A midfielder who joined the Imps in 1997 and went on to make 131 appearances for City before leaving in 2001. He also played for Wimbledon, both Bristol sides and finally, Lincoln United.

 

Milner, John – Former Huddersfield and Bradford Park Avenue player who made 121 appearances for City between 1963 and 1967.

 

Minett, Jason – He made 59 appearances for City between 1995 and 1997 and he also had 2 spells with Exeter, Norwich and ended his career at Lincoln United.

 

Mitchell, Bobby -  Another journeyman who joined the Imps in 1985 and played 45 times for the Imps before leaving in 1987. He also played for Sunderland, Blackburn, Grimsby, Carlisle and Rotherham.

 

Molango, Meheta – After impressing many during the pre-season before the 2005/6 season, Meheta joined the Imps on loan from Brighton but failed to make an impact and scored just once before leaving the club in January 2006 and he went to play in Spain.

 

Moody, Roy – One appearance wonder from the 1946/7 season.

 

Moore, Andy – The former Grimsby man played a vital part in City’s Conference winning 1987/8 season and he made 35 appearances in what turned out to be his only season at the Imps.

 

Moore, J Les – Moore made 60 appearances for City between 1965 and 1967.

 

Moore, John – A regular on the subs bench during his 4 years at Sincil Bank and after him joining the Imps in 1961, he played just 31 times before leaving in 1965.

 

Morgan, Ernie – Former Gillingham man who played just 3 times for City in the 1952/3 season.

 

Morgan, Paul – He could possibly eventually go down as the greatest defender in the club’s history. After joining from Preston North End in 2001/2, Paul went on to impress many and under Keith Alexander, he captained the Imps to 3 successive playoff campaigns, despite not feature in the 2003/4 season. City often fail to impress when he doesn’t play and wins without Morgan in the side are very rare.

 

Morton, Alan – A former Peterborough and Chesterfield man who made 64 appearances for City between 1963 and 1965.

 

Moss, Ernie – Next to the word journeyman in the footballing dictionary, is a picture of Ernie Moss. Other than his 11 appearances in City’s 1982/3 season, he also played for Chesterfield (three times), Peterborough, Mansfield, Port Vale, Doncaster, Stockport, Scarborough and Rochdale.

 

Mossman, David – The former Rochdale and Stockport player made 29 appearances for City in the 1987/8 season.

 

Moulson, George – A goalkeeper who made 61 appearances for City between 1947 and 1949.

 

Moyses, Chris – Played 5 times for City in the 1983.4 season.

 

Mudd, Paul – The former Hull, Scarborough and Scunthorpe player made 7 appearances for City in the 1995/6 season.

 

Munro, Jimmy – He played an impressive 171 times for the Imps between 1952 and 1958. He also played for Manchester City, Oldham and Bury.

 

Murphy, Aidan – A loanee player who played just twice In the 1986/7 season.

 

Murray, John – Played 5 times in the 1966/7 season.

 

Musson, Ian – He played 11 times for City in the 1973/4 season.

 

Naylor, Stuart – A goalkeeper who stood between the sticks 63 times for the Imps between 1981 and 1986. He also played for West Brom, Bristol City, Walsall and Exeter.

 

Neal, Dick – Was at the club for 9 years between 1954 and 1963 and played a huge 315 games for the Imps in that time.

 

Neale, Keith – The former Birmingham man played just 9 times for City between 1957 and 1959.

 

Neale, Phil – A legend at the club who played a huge 358 games for City between 1974 and 1985 and was a fan favourite thoughout his time at Sincil Bank.

 

Nicholson, Shane – A strong defender who joined the Imps in 1986 and made 186 appearances before leaving in 1992. He has also played for Derby, West Brom, Chesterfield and Stockport.

 

North, Marc – A loanee in the 1984/5 season who made just 5 appearances for the club. He also had 2 spells at Grimsby as well as spells at Luton and Leicester.

 

Northcott, Tommy – A former Torquay and Cardiff man who made 97 appearances for City between 1955 and 1958.

 

Onwere, Udo – The man with the unusual name played 53 times for City between 1994 and 1996. He also played for Fulham, Blackpool and Barnet.

 

Owen, Bobby – A member of the squad immediately following the war and he played 255 times before leaving in 1955.
