Imps snubbed again by national awards

Lincoln have been snubbed yet again by their peers after receiving no nominations for the Football League Awards. Out of the 5 categories where nominees had to be made, the Imps failed to be nominated and it will come as no great surprise to Imps fans after the last 3 seasons.

The Football League Awards are due to be made on March 5th and despite not being nominated in one of these specially nominated categories, the Imps have a completely new way to be ignored in the general unspecified nomination categories. All the categories and the relevant nominees are revealed below.

The categories with specific nominations are:

Community Club of the Year sponsored by Asda -
Nominees: Brentford, Burnley, Colchester United, Millwall, Norwich City, Notts County, Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Best Club Sponsorship -
Nominees: Gillingham, Leeds United, Norwich City, Nottingham Forest, Stoke City, Walsall.

Best Club Marketing Campaign sponsored by Marketing Magazine -
Nominees: Derby County, Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, Preston North End, Reading.

Best Kit Design sponsored by Ted Baker -
Nominees: Ipswich Town, Leyton Orient, Norwich City, Reading.

Match-day Programme of the Year sponsored by Ryman
Nominees: Barnet, Colchester United, Crystal Palace, Derby County, Hull City, Ipswich Town, Preston North End.
