Imps could have one last chance

If Lincoln make the playoff final, they will have 1 final chance to end the 100% losing record at the Millennium Stadium. It was confirmed that Cardiff will host all the finals this season after it was announced that the people building Wembley had finally made their minds up about the stadium.

City are one of the very small handful of teams that have played more than once in the Millennium Stadium and have a 100% losing record after playoff final defeats to Bournemouth and Southend. For this entire season, the people building Wembley have been making people care less and less about the new stadium with the "Will it be ready, won't it be ready" nonsense. After 7 months of being fed rubbish by being told it would be ready, the builders have finally given up and admitted that they can't get the job finished in time and that the first game to be played at the new Wembley, will more than likely be the Charity Shield, not exactly a high profile and very often, not a very good game.

Sky Sports quoted ""It does seem a bit of a shame after all that time and all that hard work that they're actually not going to make this date they signed up to,"

This means that if City are fortunate enough to make the playoffs, they will be forced to go back to the Millennium Stadium, a possibility that won't excite a lot of Lincoln fans.
