Emotions fly high in Fans Forum

Emotions were running high in the fans forum held on Wednesday as the debate over Keith finally seems to have ended. The forum, which was attended by around 80 Lincoln fans, almost broke into a full blown argument as a group of fans persistantly enquired about Steff Wright's position as chairman.

The evening started off in the right atmosphere with the first few questions going towards the playing side of things but it wasn't long until the subject quickly changed to what happened at the beginning of the year. Steff Wright appeared to have played down the situation and he and the other board members gave what seemed to be a satisfactory, albeit long winded answer and the subject at the point seemed dead dead and burried.

A quick break commenced and once the initially upbeat questions were out of the way, more questions towards Steff Wright. A Lincoln fan then read from a pre-written statement asking that  if it was revealed at any point that Wright, or any member of the board had twisted the truth in any of the statements since the incident in January, if their positions would become untenable. This sparked an angry reaction from all the board members and the tension was high. Then another Lincoln fan, himself heavily connected with the club, stood up and accused the group in the middle of the room, suspiciously around former board member, Keith Roe, of trying to unsettle all the hard work the club had done and not getting straight to the point and a major argument started between the 2 different parties. One everything had settled down, the rest of the night seemed to pass smoothly.

Here is the other major news that was revealed in the forum.

• The Imps have offered contracts to 7 players who are out of contract at the end of the season. The only name mentioned was Jeff Hughes, whereas the club's offer to Gareth McAuley, that has been "on the table" since November, still stands.
• 9 of the 10 YTS lads have been offered new contracts
• Matt Bloomer looks set to join Cambridge United on loan after going to train with them.
• An announcement about the training facilities will be made soon.
• The club expect to make an announcement about the "Lincoln Live" concert soon, especially the names of the artists who will appear on the Friday night of the event and the club have promised that the artists will be off a different style of Westlife.

Other than that, it was a pleasent evening in the centre spot.
