Carlisle match beaten by the weather

The Imps away game at Carlisle has been postponed due to the Cumbrian's having a frozen pitch after a freezing night. It is the second time in 3 visits that the Imps will have to travel to Brunton Park on a Tuesday night following a case of bad whether and the Imps will hope for a similar result.

The match was due for a 3:30pm pitch inspection on Friday afternoon but before even stepping foot onto the pitch, the referee could see that this game had no chance of being on. The overnight frost hadn't thawed at that point and with the temperature slowly getting colder and with another night of sub-0 temperature meant that the chances of the match being playable were the same as the Shrewsbury fans admitting that they aren't Brazil in disguise, in other words, not a chance in hell.

A new date will be re-arranged as soon as possible and this could also possibly mean that the Imps fans could be in the main stand for the re-scheduled match.
