Picked up your rattle yet Barry? Didn't think so

The Jesus Christ of the world of football has yet again decided to grace the world of football with his infinate wisdom. Barry Hunter, the tactical genius is currently manager of Brazil and Diamonds and he has yet again decided to moan about the Imps beating his galacticos last season.

Hunter heavily criticised the Imps’ tactics after the Imps beat his side 4-1 at Nene Park last season and refered to Lincoln as “Route 1 and nothing else”, if you want Mr Hunter, I’d be perfectly happy to let you borrow the DVD of the game so you can see how Brazil and Diamonds played because I can guarantee you that only 1 team played long ball in that game and it wasn’t the Imps. Have you picked up your rattle yet Barry?

 

Going onto Rushden’s website, you know what Hunter’s going to say before you read the article because the headline says “Lincoln will be very similar to Grimsby playing wise.” Will we Mr Hunter? Obviously you haven’t watched us recently because whilst you’re still hoofing the ball left, right and centre, well ok then, just centre, the Imps have started playing decent football.

 

Barry Hunter is obviously a master of the tactics of football, a man so in tune with his own book of tactics that it is only a conspiracy that Brazil and Diamonds aren’t 20 points clear at the top of the league. How Diamonds are in the relegation zone is something that only the gods know because Hunter’s tactics are obviously worthy of gracing the Premiership. When asked if he would change tactics for the game against the Imps,

 

“No because Lincoln will be very similar to Grimsby and they can’t get any more direct so having coped with Grimsby, we will have to do the same at the weekend.”

 

Yet again Barry, have you actually watched the Imps recently? In that single quote you just prove how little you know about managing a football team. If ourselves and Grimsby play in a similar fashion, why are they fighting for automatic promotion and we aren’t? Obviously Lincoln and Grimsby are a team that are identical but only a conspiracy the size of Jupiter that the two Lincolnshire sides aren’t on level points, level goal difference and even have the exact same players of each other.

 

I have a suggestion for Barry Hunter, maybe you should actually watch other team’s play before you play them, then maybe you wouldn’t be in danger of getting relegated with in your first job in management.

 

The game between Lincoln City, managed by Lincoln City and the Universe XI, managed by Jesus Christ himself, takes place on Saturday.
