Imps trial a 2+ goals a game striker

Lincoln City have taken Altrincham's Ben Deegan and Matty Williams on trial with Deegan scoring 27 goals in 12 games so far. The two young strikers, especially Deegan have an impressive eye for goals and despite only playing in the youth team, 27 goals in just 12 games deserves a lot of respect.

The Altrincham official website broke the story earlier today and stated that the 2 youngsters would be joining up with the Imps on Tuesday to see if they were up to the standard of League football and both are extremely highly rated by the conference side. City actually went to the conference outfit for a pre-season friendly when the two sides thought out a 0-0 draw.

Deegan is a young lad who has played just a dozen games in the youth team but has already scored more goals than any professional striker in the country and in his 6 league games for the Altrincham youth's, he's scored 13 times, not bad by anyone's standards. He has infact scored more goals in those 12 games, than the rest of the youth team put together.

Williams doesn't have a bad record himself and he has scored 8 in 15 games for the youngsters. His record in league games is 6 goals from 8 games which again, is an excellent record.

Both are set to play in the midweek game for the reserves.
