Forrester all set to stay.....PERMANENTLY

Lincoln City are apparantly on the verge of not only signing Forrester's loan extension but signing him permanently. Reports down in Bristol claim that the Imps are all set to make a move that will see the veteran striker join on a 2 year deal in the summer from playoff rivals, Bristol Rovers.

Forrester's future will definatly be decided by Thursday, the final day that the loan deal which expired last Saturday, can be extended. Bristol Rovers have hesitated about extending Forrester's loan due to their sudden re-emergence into the playoff picture but over the past month, the striker has stated on several occasions that he has no intention of playing again for the Gasheads. However, other than that fact he is playing for a team that could potentially keep the Gas out of the playoffs, all concerned at the Memorial Stadium are keen to offload Forrester to make way for several other signings in the summer.

Forrester initially joined the Imps a few days before the game against Grimsby, a game in which he put in arguably the performance of the season as he scored one and set up the goals for several other players in a 5-0 white-wash. His next goal came in a 4-2 defeat at Darlington before getting a double on Easter Monday in a 3-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers and he completed his 5 goal haul with an excellent chip over Glyn Garner in the weekend's draw at Orient.
