Imps target signs on dotted line

Lincoln City target Anthony Elding has signed for county rivals, Boston United just 2 days after the season ended. Elding re-signs for Boston after over 3 years away and a successful spell at Stevenage. Elding was believed to be a target for City earlier in the season but joined Kettering instead.

After falling out with Stevenage manager, Graham Westley earlier this season, Elding was put on the transfer list but Westley refused to sell him for anything higher than Conference North/South level and he eventually signed for ambitious Kettering Town. However, his time there wasn't particulary successful as he scored only a mere handful and his disipline record was shocking.

According to several newspapers, he was all set to start talks with the Imps after the playoff final after being released by Kettering. However, Boston pounced early to re-sign their former striker. This could be an indication to the rumours that Boston are set to lose Julian Joachim over the summer.

There has been no news yet as to who else the Imps will be targeting.
