Marvin leaves Sincil Bank

Striker Marvin Robinson has left Sincil Bank and has joined League 2 rivals, Macclesfield Town on a free transfer. Having not been offered a significant contract, the striker has grown frustrated that City didn't even talk to him and last season's leading goalscorer has now left Sincil Bank

Earlier this morning, Robinson told the Echo that he was growing frustrated at the contract talks at Sincil Bank and just hours after that article was published, he was signing a contract with Macclesfield Town. It makes this the 3rd summer in a row that Macclesfield have signed a former Imp after Kevin Sandwith and Mark Bailey both made the switch in the previous 2 years. Macclesfield are also still chasing former Imp, Marcus Richardson.

Robinson leaves Sincil Bank after less than a year but he still managed to end the season as leading goalscorer. We wish him all the luck in the future.
