City get first day derby against County

It is the first opening day derby that the Imps have had since a 2-1 victory over Rotherham at the start of the 1999/2000 season, a year that City finished 15^th. It will also be a true test for both sides as both have new managers to try and improve their fortunes from last season. The first away game is arguably the toughest with the Imps making the trip down to Edgar Street to face Hereford United. It will be the 3^rd time in 5 years that City are the first visitors to a new team in the division.

City face Boston YET AGAIN on boxing day, the 4^th year in a row we’re scheduled to play each other on boxing day but just a few days before that, City will be reunited with Keith Alexander as City travel to Peterborough United. Our last away game is also at Grimsby.
