Yeo does complete U-turn and leaves Imps

Just a few short weeks after admitting he was happy with the Imps' new offer of a contract, Yeo has departed again. A few days after being rejected by Stockport, Yeo departs the Imps and a certain quote indicates that he is on his way to Peterborough's best impression of Lincoln City.

A few days after losing to Grimsby in the playoffs, Yeo revealed to the fans that he was more than happy with the deal that had been offered to him by the board and he was looking forward to playing for the Imps in the following season, just a few weeks later however and all of a sudden, the contract wasn't good enough and his departure was confirmed as he revealed to the Echo that he had rejected the deal. However, he leaves with no guarantee that he will be playing for a League club next season. Only Stockport County and Peterborough are believed to have been interested in the striker but Stockport withdrew their offer after Gannon said he was unimpressed with the striker.

Although favourites to now sign the striker, Peterborough United's finances have been called into question after Keith was restricted to signing one of the worst footballers in football league history in the form of Jude Stirling. Yeo spoke to the Echo and said it would be wierd playing against the Imps next season, indicating that he is set to join a League 2 club.

Much like McAuley, Yeo also seems to have an over-active imagination after he claimed that he was sick of seeing fans on the internet acuse him of not being fit to wear the shirt, messages that only he seems to have seen. Either way, the Imps will go on without Yeo and if the Imps are set to play on the ground football, Yeo wouldn't fit into that system because the majority of his goals are from when the ball is in the air.
