Leicestershire charge halted by rain

Leicestershire's charge towards the knockout stages of the Benson & Hedges Cup was put on hold as rain caused the abandonment of their clash with Derbyshire. The visitors had scored 119 for two from 32 overs when the heavens opened and brought a premature end to their innings.

When play was finally able to resume, Derbyshire were set a revised target of 82 from 10 overs, but further rain forced umpires David Constant and Jeff Evans to call off the tie and each side were awarded one point.
