I would sweep streets first Wenger tells Real

According to Saturday's red tops Wenger would rather sweep streets as a job before feeling the need to work for Real. Meanwhile Real continue to go into a spin with yet another defeat this weekend.
Vieira must know now what a close escape he had, he could also learn from his boss how to deal with this sinking rat next time they approach him, approximately Xmas I should think. I would love to be a fly on the wall when Becks, Woodgate and Owen go down the local Irish bar. Myles Palmer believes in Karma, he has got a point, how else did Woodgate end up there? Could it be as punishment? Well I suspect there is one Paddy who will not be joining them when Becks starts his siren call pre Xmas. The last comfort for a drowning man is to take another person down with him.
When I wrote on Tuesday, September 21:
"Wenger off to Real Madrid
Ha ha ha I wondered how long it would be before this stupid story would be re run.
Why would Wenger go to Real Madrid where they change managers more often than Southampton. Wenger has made it plain he is staying. The Fatlaticos are struggling - and now the ship has left the sinking rat. - or is it that Real are now tapping Wenger up. If they are, unlike Paddy, Wenger will give them short shrift."
One or two readers failed to see the irony.I thought it was only baseball fans that didn't do irony. I was even blamed by one, for starting the rumour (wow that's pretty good going for a week old blog) but as I predicted the story was run in the red tops all week. My point was that it was a non story and Wenger would give Real Madrid short shrift. Better than that he has let it be known that he would have to be really down on his luck, probably sweeping the streets, before he would even consider it. You can't do better than that - good old Arsene.
(I tried to publish this on Saturday, but with out success, perhaps Real are more pervasive than I knew.)
