Do we really want Wes Brown?

Wenger says he off to the sales in January, and by that he means a bargain. A lot of newspapers have put two and two together and decided it must be Wes Brown.

I can't say I have seen him play a lot, but on the three or four time that I did he made some awful blunders.

A lot of his blunders have been put down to his being slow to regain match fitness after injuries. That's another point - he does get a lot of injuries. Why is Ferguson not making a lot of effort to get him to stay?

I think there are too many question marks here to make him a good signing, but then Wenger took a chance with Mark Overmars when he signed him.

Golden Globe for Strachan
Gordon Strachan gave Ashley Cole 9.5 out of ten in the Guardian today, said it would have been 10 if he was a few inches taller, and put him in same bracket as Roberto Carlos.

We are now entering second week of the International break and it seems interminable - I might have to take a holiday from the blog if it gets any worse.
