Van Long Face pleaded guily to fouling Cole, but it was not remorse that motivated him, but rather a three match ban would only be a two match ban after tonights Carling Cup game at Crewe.
Van Nostrilhair had spent all day pleading not guilty to a nasty attack on Ashley Cole, but something about the video replay reminded him he had actually done it, so in a fit of remorse he pleaded guilty. This unfortunately contradicted all those Manure fans who had been supporting his not guilty plea all day.
But it was not remorse that motivated him, but rather a three match ban would only be a two match ban after tonights Carling Cup game at Crewe. Of course we all knew he was going to play in that. So now we know it's not just Arsenal fans who think you are a dirty player - but you do too Ruud. Hey why the long face?
WENGER DENIES BUST UP
Meanwhile the press were having a great laugh at Wenger he hadn't seen anything happen in the tunnel - tunnel vision ha ha ho ho its so funny. Except if you see his interview on Arsenal Plus he states the reason he did not see it was because it did not happen. Like this great organ, he also believes its a smoke screen to cover the real crimes on the pitch - and they were carried out by Manure. Nor was his argument about the penalty because as we all know Manure are not guilty of that because Pires was accused of a similar act in 49 BC.
He is not going to be taking in by attempts to shift the focus on what really happened on the pitch to what did not happen in the tunnel.
No his complaint was that Manure tried to kick Arsenal off the pitch - good grief where had he got that idea from - and the ref had done nothing to stop it. If Ruud had got his just deserts in the first half he wouldn't have been there for the second and his penalty of redemption.
Wenger feels that good football was the loser, at least Arsenal behaved well on the pitch, no they were not saints, but they did not set out to kick Man U of the pitch. Only Man U Played like that. Footballers have always dived for penalties, but its only a very few who deliberately set out to harm another player.
As for Wenger he is going to continue perfecting the beautiful game - not get dragged into kicking matches.
