Jose Reyes has stated he wants to stay with Arsenal and help the club win trophies. He claimed he is flattered by Real Madrid's interest, but intends to stay at Highbury.

The problem for Reyes with any such move would be the response of Sevilla fans. They were angry enough when he left for Arsenal, but he softened the blow by saying he intended to return to Sevilla one day. If he returned to Spain, but went to Real instead of Sevilla, the hate campaign he would face would make the Campbell affair look like a tea party.

Reyes statement contradicts the noises being made by his agent who is talking the issue up. No doubt the parasite is hoping for another transfer payday. If reports are carefully checked they are quotes from the agent - not Jose.
