Breaking news: The board of the Premiership have decided this evening to charge Chelsea, Mourhino and Cole of a breach of the League's rules

Charge 1 Chelsea under rule K3.

Charge 2 Mourhino under rule Q, and  Charge 3 Ashley Cole under rule K5.

The Board feels that all concerned have a case to answer.

Rule K3 applies to clubs in breach of the transfer rules especially illegal approaches, rule Q for managers in breach of the regulations and illegal approaches.

K5 applies to players approaching clubs whilst still under binding contract. It will be a busy month for Chelsea and Mourhino who have charges from UEFA to deal with as well.

Zahavi cannot be charged as he is not under the juridsicton of the EPL. Chelsea will claim that they were bullied by Ashley Cole into attending the meeting.

By the time the case has been heard Chelsea will have won their league trophy. But will the trophy be covered in glory or opprobrium? Increasingly the view of many in the football world is that they have become arrogant, that money has gone to the clubs head; believing they can do what they want and are untouchable.

Oh to, Oh to be a Lawyer.
