Arsenal early chance to knock Chelsea off track

No, I do not mean the Community Shield; in fact, I could not care less about it. It’s an albatross around our necks, every year that we have won this under Wenger we have failed to win the league that season.

I am referring to our second match of the season away at Chelsea, what a great chance to end their unbeaten run. In fact the match will be far too early to decide anything, but that will not stop Sky from advertising it as Judgement Day, Match of the Century, Clash of the Titans (make up your own silly title and say it in deep gravelly voice).

Anyhow, it makes for an interesting start to the season. At the moment it is scheduled for Saturday August 20 th, but “Judgement Day 43 Part Two”  sponsors might want to move it to a Sunday, Monday, Wednesday or Friday. Oh well that is what happens when you sell your soul.

Sacred Season

Therefore, the season will start at home against Newcastle on either a Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday or Friday but will definitely end on Survival Sunday May 7^th against Wigan. This should not be negotiable, so something is sacred after all.

Lets hope its not 3 points to Wigan (I didn’t even know they played Football).
