The Big Lie Theory

Well tweedledum and tweedledee are at it again. Both attacking Arsenal for imagined slights. This time it's the claim that Arsenal rig the fixtures list. A lie of breathtaking cheek. But it's not a new idea. The big lie tactic is an old one. Indeed it is known as the big lie theory.

"His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it."

Who does that remind you of? Anyone who replies Sir Alex would be wrong. Its Joseph Goebbels. It would also be unfair, the repulsive Goebbels made up his own lies, and he didn’t get them off a hireling of Stalin.

Does Ferguson really believe that Arsenal influence the Premiership fixtures? And if they do why arrange to play Man U away after playing Panathinaikos last season? Well any genius of propaganda could answer that; it was to throw Man U off the scent.

Of course without the fawning press these lies would die a death, but of course they want Wenger to react – then they can label him a mad dog. My advice to Arsene is to ignore this rubbish and get Hill Wood to deal with it. When Arsene called RVN a cheat, and he is a cheat, he was fined. Well Alex says Arsenal is cheating the whole Premiership by fixing the fixtures. Well prove it red nose, or pay the mother of all fines. The whiny one at Chelsea started this lie, and has been warned, so he won’t be able to say he didn’t know what the outcome would be.
