Sol Campbell did not get a run out against Crystal Palace reserves tonight. The result was: ARSENAL 2 Efrem 72, Bendtner 74 pen CRYSTAL PALACE 2 Grabban 46, 50 The line up was as follows:
Vito Mannone , Sean Kelly , Kerrea Gilbert , Sebastian Larsson, Mathew Connolly , Fabrice Muamba , Giorgis Efrem , Patrick Cregg, Nicklas Bendtner , Anthony Stokes , Ryan Smith
Substitutes
- Mark Randall
- Michael Jordan
- Peggy Lokando
- Paul Rodgers
- Shane Tracy
The absence of Sol either means either he has had another injury (but no mention of it on Arsenal.com), or more likely he will play some role in Wednesday’s match against the Thun Army. There again Senderos might play, as he will be able to sledge them in Swiss. He will also be able to eavesdrop on their planning for set plays, and free kicks. Though Brazilian might be more useful as the Thun Army have at least five Brazilian players.
The Thun Army fans are notorious for wearing string vests and waving cuckoo clocks.
