Two-try Tom puts Dunlop in last four

Winger Tom O'Toole ran in two second-half tries to seal Dunlop's place in the last four of the Warwickshire Shield with a 32-6 win at Manor Park. The Nuneaton hosts led through an early penalty, but tries from Dave Weston and Craig McGrory earned Dunlop a 15-6 lead at half-time before they dominated the second period.
Full-back Weston finished with 17 points, adding three conversions and two penalties to his try, and Dunlop will now play Rugby St Andrews in the semi-finals on February 24 at Southam.
Pinley came from 10-3 down in the first half against Dudley Wasps to win their rearranged Midlands Five West (South) game at Wyken Croft, 33-13.
A Paul Baines try and Carl Rogers conversion levelled things by half-time, and Pinley upped their game on the restart to collect further tries through Rogers - who finished with 18 points - Mick Parker and birthday boy Rob Newman.
Old Laurentians got their Midlands Three West (South) campaign back on track with a 33-24 home win over Stourbridge Lions.
Shipston edged a 10-7 win at Evesham to climb out of the bottom three in Midlands Four West (South), and Warwickian bounced back from a heavy defeat the previous week to edge out visitors Atherstone 7-6 and record only their third win of the season in Midlands Six West (South East). * WARWICKSHIRE suffered their second defeat in as many games in the National Under-20 Champion-ship as they went down 20-18 to Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire at Derby.
It was a game of contrasting styles with the Three Counties using their powerful pack to batter Warwickshire, who responded by scoring two excellent tries through their backs.
Kenilworth winger Elliot Brown claimed Warwickshire's first and Barkers Butts full-back Steve Ross the second, with Nathan Tilsley (Barkers Butts) adding one conversion and two penalties.
NL&D scored four unconverted tries, three of them in the first half.
Warwickshire's final group game is away to Oxford University on February 17 at Iffley Road. * ENGLAND found world champions Wales far too hot to handle in an entertaining Deaf International at Broadstreet, going down 66-7.
England competed well in the first half and were level at 7-7 after 30 minutes, but their errors were then punished with increasing frequency by an experienced and well-organised Wales side who eventually pulled away to record a second consecutive win in this fixture with six of their ten tries scored in the second half. Centre Guy Lavery (Tunbridge Wells) had the satisfaction of scoring England's points with a well-worked try after 25 minutes which he also converted.
