Coventry Rugby Club enters administration!

Finally! some valuable and concrete information on the state of our club, if by placing the club into administration it allows a new beginning, then I’m all for it. To those who have criticised this board and labelled it doom and gloom, they must possess skin as thick as a rhino’s.
Throughout the last 8 months I have been extremely worried and concerned for the welfare of our club. I have openly confessed my feeling on this board and to those who would listen, and I am not ashamed to admit it. By placing the club into administration Mr Green has confirmed that I and others were indeed accurate, I personally feel vindicated and satisfied, like it or not I and others were speaking the truth all along.
Nonetheless, now is the time that all fractions within and outside the club come together as one. The journey will not be easy, there are undoubtedly plenty of obstacles ahead but they are not insurmountable, they can be tackled and conquered if we work together.
Admittedly there are some deep scars, but they can be healed, it just takes fortitude and a little humanity, and in my opinion this must start from the top with Mr Green.
For the sake of Coventry Rugby Club now is the time to bury the hatchet, let bygones be bygones and let’s move our beloved club forward together or suffer the consequences.

Over to you Mr Green and all Coventry supporters.
Mr Green and everyone else associated with our beloved club have this chance of a fresh start, but it must begin from the top with Mr Green and his associates. In spite of everything only they possess the power to either bring this club together or leave it fragmented.
So ladies and gentlemen please take this opportunity and not waste it. For now is not the hour to be an autocratic leader, now is the hour to be a courageous leader, a leader that embodies strength and wisdom, a leader that symbolises truth and honesty and will make the right decisions that will bring this great club together and not for personal gratification.
I implore that the chest beating must stop, this is a new era for Coventry Rugby Club, an opportunity to correct the wrongs of the past and to focus all our energy on the future.
I honestly believe that if we stand united we will overcome anything that may come our way; I also believe that if we stay divided we will fall.
I, and I'm sure all rugby fans, hope you are able to resolve these present difficulties speedily.
I've booked my place for our visit to you next Sat and am certain of the usual "rugby" hospitality.
The reason why I know about administration is due to the fact that I am a victim of such reality, where my pension fund in excess of £190,000 was lost or as I like to put it stolen from me. And I thought (naively) that pensions were untouchable after the Rupert Murdock incident of the 1980’s. But I’m afraid this is the case, I really hope that all the creditors fair better than I did.
I remember the initial scepticism over the owner when he arrived - something to do with failed businesses???? Well he's consistent if anything!
Coventry FC really have become a true laughing stock and it's a shame that anyone with true business nous is likely to avoid it like the plague....

Yes it does Mark, along with everything else that has gone on since his tenancy.
It is time to forgive and forget.
Over to you Mr Green and all Coventry supporters.
A wise man will forgive but never forget
look forward to seeing you at Brickfields again

Don't let anything get in the way of a good game of RugbyThe delay in giving out information was due to negotiations between the 3 interested parties, namely the juciacary,The RFU,and National Division 1 Rugby. This had to be concluded before the staff and players were told, and then at the same time as the press release, certain representatives from supporters groups, who were briefed fully at 5pm last friday.
No earlier announcement could be made for legal reasons.
I would point out that Mr green has confirmed his continued presence and support for the club.Interesting to note that the new club has received more support from the RFU,Judiacry and ND! than certain supporters of the club.

...it comes as no surpise what has had to be done.
You are right there. I am not at all surprised.
I just hope the real Coventry RFC can come through all this; the creditors also.
