Colts get home edge

NUNEATON will have home advantage on their first ever appearance in the quarter-finals of the English Clubs Colts Cup. Their reward for last weekend's 41-0 win over Huddersfield is a home draw against Torquay Athletic in the last eight, to be played on or before March 16.

There is a potential all-Coventry clash in the Plate competition with OCs Coventry drawn at home to the winners of the fifth-round tie between Earlsdon and Nottingham which will be played at Mitchell Avenue tomorrow.

Both competitions are organised and administered by the East Midlands RFU.

Cup quarterr-finalss: Bedford Blues v Caldy, Nuneaton v Torquay Athletic, Dudley Kingswinford v Colchester, Oldfield OB v London Welsh.

Plate quarter-finals: Old Coventrians v Earlsdon or Nottingham, Blaydon v Harrogate, Bishops Stortford v Weston-super-Mare, Newbury v Jersey or Exeter.
