Coventry Rugby are pleased to announce another three players have joined this season’s squad bringing total numbers so far announced to 38.
Danny Herriott prop forward joins from Northampton Academy, whilst winger Tom Harris comes in from Otley, and finally there is a return to Coventry by another winger Aaron Takarangi.
Danny Herriott, aged 19 comes in from Northampton Academy on a season’s loan. Born in Kent Danny who usually plays at tighthead is in his second year at the Northampton Academy, and has already represented England U 18’s and U 19’s, and hopes to make it a hat trick with the U 20’s this season.
He had a spell last season playing a handful of games for Birmingham Solihull and looks forward to the experience of playing for Coventry will bring. Danny is a replacement for last season’s Northampton loanee Ethan Waller, who is expected to move to a Championship side this season, possibly Moseley.
Tom Harris, a winger aged 23, not to be confused with Coventry’s other winger Tommy Harris, comes in from Otley.
Born in Northamptonshire, Tom played for Old Northamptonians before going to Otley, has just finished University in Leeds. Also with experience of playing flyhalf and centre Tom not only has a good pair of hands but is also speedy. Tom has been impressed with the level of commitment and quality of the squad assembled at Coventry and looks forward to making his mark.
Aaron Takarangi, a winger, played under Phil Maynard at Birmingham Solihull, since then had further spells at Coventry, Nuneaton and then back to Coventry, where he suffered from a broken leg, which took him out of the game for two years. Now back fit and back into action Aaron brings some experience to the Coventry squad.

Any more Jeff Gregsons out there?
Won't comment on the dual-reg aspect

And that's a long time ago!
he's definitely handy at tight head, goes about 6'!" and 18stone - about the same as this time last year except most of the puppy fat is now muscle.he mostly played wanderers last season , coped well against some experienced units in the tight and puts himself about.
I'll try to find out a bit more about Tom Harris, as I know a few of the organisers at ONs.
