Former Irish u 20 hooker signs for Coventry Rugby.

Coventry Rugby are pleased to confirm the signing of hooker David McGregor from Championship side Plymouth Albion.
David (Davy) McGregor, is aged 22 , born in Ulster, Davy played for his local club at Ballynahinch, was a member of the Ulster Academy, being capped for Ireland at U18 and U19 level playing as open side flanker, but switched to hooker when capped for the U20’s and has remained a hooker since then. Recruited by Andre Bester for Championship side Rotherham Titans in season 2010/11, last season he moved to another Championship side Plymouth Albion.
Davy was in the process of signing on again for Plymouth Albion, when he had the opportunity to come to Coventry Rugby he jumped at the chance. Looking now to cement his place with more regular game time he has been impressed with the professional set up at Coventry Rugby both behind the scenes and with their playing ambitions.
Preferring an open running style of play matching his previous experience as a flanker, Davy is very much looking forward to putting down a marker at Coventry in his future rugby career. He made his Coventry debut in the pre-season game on Saturday against Newport RFC, playing the first 60 minutes and impressing with both his work in the scrum, work around the park and his throwing in.

Last season started 2games totaling 90 mins, used as a sub in 8 totaling just over 60 mins! So less than 3 hours 1st team game time last season.
Also allways worrys me when a player is now at his 3rd club in as many seasons... :-(
However, i dont wanna be negative before the season starts, he may do well in our league.
