Schools Finals at the Butts (update)

UPDATE! Schools Rugby Finals at the BPA! Please come along to the Butts Park Arena and support the next generation of Coventry players as they show their skills at the Butts!

Our U15 final, planned for Tuesday 28th March, has been postponed until Thursday 6th April, KO 5.30pm.  That final will be between Coundon Court and the winners of next week's semi-final between The Woodlands and King Henry VIII.
 
Another schools final ...  We have set up a Warwickshire State Schools Championship.  Six schools have played each other on a home and away basis this season with the league winners going through automatically to the final, and the teams who finished 2nd and 3rd playing off to be in the main final.  The first final is this Friday (24th) at Nuneaton RFC KO 5pm, between The Woodlands and Southam.
 
It would be great to see any old Woodies supporting our lads.
 
Please come along to the Butts Park Arena and support the next generation of Coventry players!  This is something very positive that the Coventry club does for the young players of the city, and have done so since 1897!  In that year  Coventry gave the Coventry Schools Rugby Union a trophy to play for to encourage the playing of schoolboy rugby in the city - this trophy is one of the oldest schoolboy trophies in the world and is still played for in the U15 age group.
 
Every season CSRU plays its age grade cup finals at Cov's home ground, currently Butts Park Arena of course.  Coventry grant us the use of the ground and the pitch and it is a wonderful experience for the boys of Coventry to play at such a superb venue as BPA (and formerly at Coundon Rd).
 
Here is the provisional fixture list, with the finalists still to be decided in the under-14 and under-15 competitions:
 
Under-13s - Thursday 16th March - The Woodlands vs Bablake - KO 5.30pm
 
Under-14s - Monday 27th March - Finalists TBA - KO 5.30om
 
Under-15s  - Woodlands vs Coundon Court or King Henry VIII - KO 5.30pm (NOTE: NOW PUT BACK TO THURS 6th APRIL!!)
 
Under-16s - Monday 3rd April - Coundon Court vs The Woodlands or Bablake - KO 5.30pm.
 
The finalists for the u14s and u15s matches will be notified as soon as known.
