Coventry are to break with tradition next season by moving away from a 3pm kick-off. All but two of the club's 15 National Division One games at the Butts Park Arena will start at 2.30pm - the exceptions being the fixture against Doncaster on February 3, when England play Scotland at Twickenham with a 4pm kick-off, and on the final day of the season, April 28, against Cornish Pirates when league regulations state that all games must start at the same time of 3pm.

"We are bowing to requests from a number of our supporters to bring the time forward, especially in the winter with the dark nights," said Cov's finance and administration officer Graham Hill.

"We also wanted to keep a continuity for the team, so we decided that the best move was to keep the kick-off the same for all games wherever possible."

Cov's home game against Waterloo will be played on Sunday, November 12, to avoid a clash with England's autumn international against Argentina the previous day.
