Ashes Fantasy Challenge Rules

These are the rules for the Ashes Fantasy Challenge - read them carefully - we will say this only once. The deadline for entries is midnight on 22nd November 2006.

Rules:

  1. Your team selection is final and stays with you through the entire series - there are no transfers
  2.  There are no limits to the number of players you may pick from either country
  3. Your eleven players can be selected in any one of the following permutations (decide which permutation will score the most points):

  1. Points will be scored in the following ways:

BATTING

Run

1 point

 

 

BOWLING

Wicket

25 points

Runs Conceded

-1 point for every 5 runs conceded

 

 

FIELDING

Catch

10 points

Stumping

20 points

Run Out - assist

10 points eg. run out (Ponting / Gilchrist) – for non-keepers only

Run Out - individual

20 points eg. Run out (Ponting)

  1. In addition to the above you should select a captain and a vice-captain marking this selection on your entry form clearly. The captain’s points will be multiplied by 2 throughout the series and the vice captain’s points will be multiplied by 1.5. Can you pick the right men to shoulder this added responsibility?
  2. No team should exceed 250,000 Yorkshire Pounds.
  3. No entries will be accepted after midnight on 22 November 2006.
  4. No more than one entry per person.
  5. Prizes for the top four teams only.
