A powerfully built all-rounder Tim has become an important part of the Yorkshire side, in both one-day and four-day cricket. He became the youngest Yorkshire player in twenty years (16-years-old) when he made his debut for the county in a one day match in 2001.

In 2005 he was thrown in to the Yorkshire first team and comfortably swam. The 2006 season began with a flurry of runs and wickets which catapulted him into the England ODI set up for the series against Sri Lanka. A combination of team failure and under performance saw Tim sit out the following winter tour, selected instead for the England A trip to Bangladesh.
