THE CORRIDOR'S 1ST ANNUAL WRITING COMPETITION

REMINDER NOTICE: We are hoping to unearth the next great cricket writer. If we don't at least we can say we tried. There have been some superb sports writers and great examples of cricket literature. We are looking for an entertaining piece of up to 1500 words. Go on - give it a go!

This is the second notice about this competition and a reminder. The deadline has been put back now until 7th April 2007 as a couple of people have contacted us asking for an extension. This is the only time we will delay the deadline!!!

The Corridor wants to encourage and applaud the cricket writer. We love to read about cricket, but few of us thing twice about the figure behind the words.

The competition is open to anyone over the age of 16 and entry is completely FREE.

THE RULES

- All entries must be on the theme of cricket or (preferably) cricket in Yorkshire.
- Entries should be between 1000 and 1500 words.
- Entries must be original - anyone found guilty of plagerism will be disqualified.
- Entries to be sent to jimmy69@gotadsl.co.uk - please head the email 'CORRIDOR WRITING COMPETITION 2007'
- Closing date 07.04.07.

Once the entries have been received all entries will appear in turn on The Corridor website during April. The Corridor readership will then choose the winner by a poll vote. This on site poll vote will determine the overall the winner and the judgement of the readership will be final. The readers of The Corridor will be encouraged to pick the entry that they most enjoyed - for writing ability and sheer entertainmnet value.

1st prize = 50 pounds

The competition will be advertised on this site and also on UK and international writers forums. The Corridor reserves the right to exclude entries that may be considered offensive and reserves the right to change the rules of the competition if appropriate.
