David Wainwright becomes Corridor Sponsored

David Wainwright has become the second Yorkshire player to be sponsored by the Corridor of Uncertainty this season. Following the sponsorship of Greg Wood the club have allowed us to sponsor left arm spinner David Wainwright in a two for the price of one deal.

This is a great coup for the Corridor and we are delighted to be sponsoring two of Yorkshire's young talents this season. Wainwright has put in some tidy spells in the second X1 and has proved to be particularly useful in limited overs cricket. He is also a capable batsman and has scored valuable runs in the lower middle order. Twenty two year old Wainwright has played in nine first class games and has best bowling figures of 4-48 against Worcestershire. Wainwright's first team opportunities were limited last season due to the excellent performances of Adil Rashid and Mark Lawson; but should either of them faulter Wainwright is ready to step into their shoes, indeed he may well get the nod ahead of them in the limited over game.
