Black Cats Match Preview: West Brom

This Saturday we welcome West Bromwich Albion to the Stadium of Light for a 3 o clock kick off. The 'Baggies' are 1 of the two teams below us, the other being Blackburn Rovers, and are rooted firmly to the bottom of the table. This is a must win game for The Black Cats as a loss would put us on the same points as West Brom, and depending on how Blackburn do, could see us at the foot of the table.

The Black Cats will be without £9 Million star Goalkeeper Craig Gordon (Ankle) and George McCartney (Foot) but will be bolstered by the return of Dean Whitehead after his recovery from a dead leg and Kieran Richardson returns after serving his suspension.

Hopefully with Ferdinand back in the team the defence will prove a little harder to break down than when we played Bolton, plus the lads did themselves proud away at Old Trafford so should have regained some confidence.

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has warned his men not to underestimate The Black cats and will be bringing a full strength squad so we should be in for an entertaining, bottom of the table scrap.
