Paul McShane is unavailable for selection when the Black Cats visit the KC Stadium to face Hull City this Saturday, the Republic of Ireland International is currently on loan to Hull, and is unavailable due to to Premier League loan rules which prevent a player on loan from playing against their parent club.
McShane, who was in the starting lineup here at Sunderland until recently, scored in Hull City's 2-2 draw at Liverpool last weekend and will be a miss to Phil Browns side.
McShane joined Hull in August on a season-long loan.
Sunderland, however, have the option of recalling the defender
during the January transfer window if need be.
