Weekes joins in run feast

Paul Weekes beacame Middlesex's 3rd centurion of the match as Middlesex set Cambridge UCCE aN unlikely 488 for victory. At lunch on the final day, they had struggled to 125-7. Read on for the full scorecards from Fenners.....

Paul Weekes Joined Andrew Strauss and Sven Koenig in compiling his first century of the season as Middlesex recovered from the loss of 3 quick second innings wickets. Earlier in the day SimonCook took 5-11 as Cambridge UCCE were all out for the dreaded 111.

By lunch on the final day Cambridge UCCE reached 125-7 still needing 362 for victory. Aaron Laraman made three early strikes before Simon Cook added a further four wickets to his first innings five.

DAY 1

Middlesex Got their season of to a perfect start with a first wicket stand of 200 and an unbroken second wicket stand of 158 between Koenig and Robin Weston. Simon Cook then took two quick wickets to leave Cambridge reeling on 22-2 at the close.
