Er, I think this entry was actually by rod/ed. I'm assuming that identity confusion in the judging is a subtle comment on the original picture.

I did mine a similar seam with one of my entries but, unlike rod/ed's, it was not truly world class.

It's already pre-determined. You are the compromise candidate, because you keep your nose clean, and don't upset anyone!

My apologies to Rod/ed who is the actual winner. And to Adelaide for false hope. I can only blame it on the stress of such a high quality field. No stewards inquiry needed.
Kev - can you rescue me by getting the prize to the right person.

I blame the judges, who were weak and naïve. Also the intervention of the MTWD medical team, who really need to understand the nature of caption competitions.

Thanks for electing me winner..eventually!

I thought we were heading for a re-run of the Rugby world cup quarter final with a Scot being denied by a dodgy decision in favour of an Australian. Altho' I think I'm correct that Adelaide is named after a Southgate road not South Oz.

I'm already the proud owner of a miniscule prize from an earlier Christmas comp so will gladly settle for being judge of the next caption comp, and let the prize roll over.

After one end of the Walker Ground, Rod/ed. I think Southgate Adelaide play on the second pitch.
