Higgins Century and Whirlwind White, Glammy need Snookers
Century Break

With a 2 week and 2 day gap in fixtures there was an element of withdrawal symptoms that drove me to seeing our Dinkies at Radlett. It also occurred if the fortnightly gap without a match report is not filled the site will automatically close down, which maybe a blessing for some.
We have a strong 2nd X1 with 4 likely to feature in our crucial Championship match against Warks and 3 others who have appeared this season. Meanwhile Glammy have a first team game and their side is barely recognisable. They are clearly in a pickle with selection as the only player I have heard of is Herring , ex Glaws I recall as potential headline maker.
The gulf in class is reflected by close of play score day 1. 30 run lead with only one wicket down.
I arrived and Holden out. Counted crowd calculated it at 46 as Eski out clearly not happy with decision no DRS here. Harry was promoted to 5 and managed quick fire 23. Higgins made his Century break. We are more than happy about Yorks being 6 down not so happy about their recovery later.
During lunch JK is practising with Helm. He said he won't be fit for Warks game but will be available for 2s next week and hopefully Notts. Hi Fi was also seen mixing with players.
I got excited when Higgins was on a max 147 for a while, but he made it to 150. With some help I was trying to work out other snooker maximums, answers to me via PM. After a secret lemonade Robbie White scored a whirlwind 50, George Scott another half century maker and Podders lived dangerously for his half ton This won't be recorded anywhere else an attempted 6 one of few Glam fielders with name at back Murphy dived backwards pushed ball back into play no name fielders didn't back him up but spectacularly saved 4 runs while we ran 2. He was later as walking round the ground congratulated by me and Primrose Hillbilly for this brilliant display of fielding after a long day out there in blistering heat.
We declared on 496 a massive lead. 2 cleaned bowled by Harry the James one was heartening. I really hope he will be with us rather than them next season. It should be over by lunch today,
It was a wonderful relaxed day in the searing heat. Roll on Edgbaston for the one that matters

Something fishy about Herring,I do recall him but his name didn't tip the scales for me fully.
Not good news about JK and the upcoming game vs The bores, maybe a new Rawling could come in for us to Potter about with him up there to get fit for rest of season.
I hope the yellow goblet had a good outing and sounds like it was a worthwhile trip.
