By David Slater
April 19 2002
After a delayed start Middlesex continued their fine start to the season bowling Durham out for 213. Strauss and Keonig reached the target of 27 inside four overs to secure a 10 wicket win.
DAY 3
After the delayed start the middlesex bowlers continued their good form as Durham added 73 to their total from yesterday. With a target of 27 Andy Strauss (19) and Sven Keonig (3) won the game with ease secureing the required runs inside four overs.
DAY 2
Simon Cook and Ashley Noffke both took three 1st innings wickets as Durham were asked to follow on after being bowled out for 160, with Simon Brown being unable to bat through injury. Cook and Noffke then took another wicket each, with Angus Fraser taking two as Durham slipped to 81-5 in their second innings. However, Martin Love and Andrew Pratt frustrated the visitors with an unbroken 59 for the 6th wicket, allowing Durham to reach 140-5 at the close, still requiring a further 47 to make Middlesex bat again. Earlier, Middlesex added just 21 to their overnight total as they were bowled out 3 short of a 4th batting point, with 347 on the board.
