It's getting Betts-ter!

Things seem to be going from strength to strength in the Middlesex bowling attack as former Warwickshire and Durham fast bowler Melvyn Betts has joined Paul Hutchison as the latest new bowling recruit.

After recently announcing the signing of Ben Scott from Surrey, Middlesex have made their 3rd signing of the winter by adding another fast bowler to the books and making the competition for bowling places higher than it has been in many years. Betts is a right arm fast bowler who has just left Warwickshire, where he spent three years. He was previously at Durham, where he started his career in 1993.

All that seems left to do now is to find a decent spinner and a batsmen or two to increase competition for batting places and act as cover for injured players and (hopefully) those that get a chance in the national squad.
