Sharks get shocked!

Middlesex unbelievably won a one-day game for only the second time this year, ending Sussex’s run of 9 games without being beaten by the crusaders. The crusaders cruised to an easy eight wicket victory with over 6 overs to spare.

After being in a good position at 60-2, a collapse saw them reduced to 63-6. They eventually reached 125, with Paul Weekes and Abdur Razzaq taking 3 wickets each and debutante Ian Jones claiming 2. Sven Koenig and Owais Shah then put on 84 to lead us to victory after the openers went early. Shah hit the winning runs for the second time in 2 days.

Middlesex move off the bottom after the win and the team they defeated, Sussex, replaces them. Lancashire remain one off the bottom after their match with Surrey was rained off.
