England Bid to Halt Gayle

England take on the West Indies in their opening World T20 super eight game, knowing they have to stop Chris Gayle, otherwise they will face a long road to try and reach the semi finals of the tournament.....

Despite most games being played out to empty seats, it is hoped that now the best teams in the world face each other during the super eight stages, that the imagination of the watching public, will be caught, and even at home, people will rally behind the England cricket team, as they bid for more world t20 glory.

England captain Stuart Broad, insists that the spin debacle against India has been forgotten, but that they face another whirlwind, in the form of Chris Gayle.

"We know he's dangerous but we've got a very aggressive bowling unit as well." Broad said intently on the build up to the game.

Gayle has had problems with the West Indies cricket board in the past, but is very much back in favour, and entertaining crowds once again with his unique style of batting.

West Indies captain Darren Sammy noted England's problems against spin against India, and has promised to contiue testing the batsmen, by using all he has on offer, including Gayle himself.
