England Call Up Woakes & Kerrigan

England have responed to the news that all rounder Tim Bresnan will miss the rest of the summer with a back injury, by calling up Warwickshire all rounder Chris Woakes, for the final Ashes test at the Oval.....
They also include Lancashire spinner Sam Kerrigan, meaning a fall from grace for Monty Panesar, after he fell foul of his county side, Sussex, following a late night incident with bouncers a couple of weeks ago.
With Bresnan forced out, it means Chris Tremlett is in pole position for a bowling berth, on his home ground, but if England decide on two spinners for the match, Kerrigan could get the nod.
He has impressed this season for Lancashire, taking over 40 wickets in domestic cricket, in the four day game.
England squad : Alastair Cook (Essex, captain), James Anderson (Lancashire), Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire), Ian Bell (Warwickshire), Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire), Steven Finn (Middlesex), Simon Kerrigan (Lancashire), Kevin Pietersen (Surrey), Matt Prior (Sussex), Joe Root (Yorkshire), Graeme Swann (Nottinghamshire), Chris Tremlett (Surrey), Jonathan Trott (Warwickshire), Chris Woakes (Warwickshire)
