Surrey suffered their second deafet in the county championshop when they lost to Sussex by 4 wickets at Hove today. Murray Goodwin scored 100 and Chris adams hit 62.
Surrey suffered their second deafet in the county championshop when they lost to Sussex by 4 wickets at Hove today. Murray Goodwin scored 100 and Chris adams hit 62.
Sussex started the day on 85 for 2 needing another 202 more runs for victory. Surrey needed to make an early breakthrough but did not get one. But after Goodwin and Prior had put on 51 prior was bowled by Alex Tudor for 20. Things did not get much better for Surrey as Goodwin and Adams put on 106. When Adams was caugh by a sub fielder off Tudor for 62 Sussex needed just 36 more runs for victory. Surrey took 2 two more wickets but Martin-j (23 not out) and Innes (12 not out) led Sussex to a 4 wicket victory.
