Surrey cruise to victory

Surrey cruised to a seven wicket over Leicestershire at Grace Road. Darren Maddy took five wickets and scored 81 and 94 but it was not enough. Alex Tudor took four wickets in the second innings and Mushtaq Ahmed took eight wickets

After Leicestershire scored 290 in their first innings Adam Hollioake decided to enforce the follow on. Leicestershire needed to make 250 to make Surrey bat again. They made 289 with Darren Maddy scoring 94 and stand in-captain Ian Sutcliffe scoring 64. Alex Tudor clamed four wickets as Surrey were set 40 to win. They did this off just 6.1 overs with Ali Brown hitting the winning four.
