Adam Hollioake led Surrey to a seventy run victory over Hampshire at the AMP Oval. First he hit 18 which contained 2 sixes and then he took 5 for 43 from his 9 overs. Ali Brown scored 49 and Mark Ramprakash scored his second consecutive National league 50.

Surrey won the toss and deiced to bat. Ali Brown and Ian Ward then put on 76 for the first wicket. Ramprakash and youngster Scott Newman then continued Surrey’s good start by putting on 82 for the third wicket. Nadeem Shahid then hit 32 at the end of the innings which contained two sixes while Adam Hollioake also hit two sixes in his 18.
Hampshire needed a good and Neil Johnosn and Jason Laney gave them that by putting on 64 for the first wicket. Surrey then took three quick wickets to leave Hampshire 92 for 3. Adam Hollioake then came on and took five wickets for 43 runs off his nine overs. Tim Murtagh finished the job off when he bowled Tomlinson for 6. Hampshire were all out for 192 with Neil Johnson top scoring with 44.
