Surrey have been busy in the transfer market this week. Fast Bowler Ed Giddins has joined Hampshire after spending two seasons at the Oval. While young bowlers Tim Murtagh and Phil Sampson have been offered new contracts.

Surrey have been busy in the transfer market this week. Fast Bowler Ed Giddins has joined Hampshire after spending two seasons at the Oval. While young bowlers Tim Murtagh and Phil Sampson have been offered new contracts.

After two seasons at the Oval Ed Giddins decided to move to Hampshire. Since his arrival from Warwickshire Giddins has struggled to break in to the championship team. But last season he was the top wicket taker in the Nul.

Surrey have also decided on both of their overseas players for next year. Azhar Mahmood, who was at Surrey at the begging of the season, has signed a two-year contract. Surrey have also kept the services of Saqlain Mushtaq who has also signed a two year.

Young and upcoming bowlers Phil Sampson and Tim Murtagh have been offered new contracts. James Benning has also been offered a full time contract after spending last season in the second XI. Benning also broke in to the England under 19 side last summer.
