Adam Hollioake was born on the 5th of September 1971 in Melbourne Australia. He made his county championship debut for Surrey in 1993 and his one day debut in 1992. He was awarded with his county cap in 1995 and then two years later he made his international debut.

Adam Hollioake has played 4 test matches for England and 35 one-day internationals. In 1999 he led England in the world cup.

Last year Adam’s brother Ben died in a car crash in Australia. This was a terrible tragedy for Adam and his family. This meant that he missed the start of the cricket season for Surrey. But when he came back in excellent form.

In the county championship he played 9 games and scored 738 runs. He had an average of 67, which was the highest out of all the Surrey players. He also scored his highest score of 206 against Leicestershire in the last game of the season. He also scored one other hundred and 5 half centuries

In one-day cricket he scored one century at an average of 37 and a strike rate of 116. He was also Surrey’s second leading wicket taker in one-day cricket with 30 Wickets.

He was also called up to the England one day team in Australia but he did not feature in any games.
